Caring for older adults has been my life's work.
My journey began at 16 years old, when I took my very first job in a nursing home. What started as a part-time job quickly became a lifelong calling.
For more than 15 years, I've dedicated my career to serving older adults through nursing, healthcare leadership, senior living, admissions, care management, and public health.
I also hold a Master of Public Health (MPH), allowing me to combine years of hands-on healthcare experience with a broader focus on education, prevention, healthy aging, and improving the health of communities.
The Other Daughter was created to make senior care easier to understand so families can feel informed, supported, and confident when making difficult decisions.
Some of the most meaningful lessons I've learned about senior care didn't come from my career—they came from my own family.
When my mother was diagnosed with early-onset dementia, I experienced the healthcare system from a daughter's perspective. I understood the medical side, but I also felt the uncertainty, the difficult decisions, and the emotional weight that so many families carry.
That experience reminded me that families need more than information—they need someone who can explain the process with compassion and clarity.
That's why I created The Other Daughter.
My hope is that every guide, video, and resource helps families feel a little more prepared and a little less alone.
“Every family becomes The Other Daughter at some point.
You don't have to navigate it alone.”
